max 8

I went to the Max 8 launch last saturday... It was the biggest load of crap i've ever heard... I'd go into detail, but I don't have time to type it all up... Basically, the best thing in max 8 is the pelt mapping... :)

XSI 5 is out! And I just downloaded the trial version... As usual Avid is incredibly efficient at implementing users' requests... They once again revamped the interface, which is different and a lot skinnier. The maya migration tools are awesome. Because I use max at work, XSI in my own time and Maya on a short movie i'm working on, having to reajust all the time to cam nav and the rest guest quite annoying. So now I have Maya shortcuts on all 3. All I need is for autodesk to change their viewport nav to Maya style and I'm set. :)

This my own version of a fairy I had to make for work... (I shortened up the skirt quite a bit :). Thinking of doing maybe a litle animation for my reel with her...
