Space marine animation in devellopement.

I'm doing this with a friend from Animal. I've been Zbrushing and surfacing this Marine head. The plan is to create a shot rivaling some of the previously seen Warhammer cinematic. Still a while away, but I've only been working on it for a week so gimme a break. :)

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while. I've been busy and the scanner at work's been out of commission. But it's back now, so I thought I'd post a few random sketches that I did during my "my brain is dead, can't do anymore 3D" times at work.

Houdini 9, wow! congrats to the interface design team.

No longer we'll we live in the shadow of the fear of the Houdini interface. No longer will talented 3D artists look down to the ground and admit they could never understand Houdini. A new age for this "magical" piece of software is rising.

I thought there would be something missing in the final image. Then it came to me, it needed life... :) And what better representation of life than a baby?

African Girl update.

I'm trying to get this project finished for Exotic. I think I'm running waaay late, but hey. At least it gives me a time frame. If I miss this one I'll just enter in the next one. Anyways, here's a quick update from yesterday. I Zbrushed the body, and decided to give it more realism. More fat, and blemishes. Didn't want to keep her so young and perky. I think it'll really help give the final image more soul and feeling.

For those of you who visited my personal Blog, (ie: family, friends blog) do not be alarmed if you now notice that it's offline. It's not Google's fault. :) I deleted it. I suddenly had an attack of conscience about showing my private life to anyone who wishes to see it. I don't want random people to have unrestricted access to photos of me, my friends, family and girlfriend.

28 weeks later is out! My first screen credit.

Having worked on "300", I was victim of a technicality which omitted me from having screen credit. Although I was a little disappointed, the reasons for it were fair enough. However, "28 weeks later" did not forget anyone in the credits, or at least, not me, and this time I watched my name slowly rise up the screen under the "Animal Logic" section of the rolling credits. I finally felt that pride and joy that I had been looking forward to since the beginning of my career. Of course it won't stop here, i already have credit on another upcoming movie and many more to come... if all goes well :P
