Photoshop Painting. "Horus"

I'll make a quick step by step of this painting I'm doing in Photoshop... Once again, crits welcome guys...
As you can see I started with a few blobs of colour. I had no idea what i was going to paint, so i painted randomly and thought: hmmm what can i do with that? I always wanted to do a painting an "Horus" type birdman, so I headed that way for my design... see next step.
